The Seahawks got as close at eight (38-30) with 5:20 remaining in the third, but Providence answered with back-to-back buckets by Jovana `Yoyo' Nogic (Lisbon, Portugal) and Allegra Botteghi (Bologna, Italy), to get the lead back to double figures, where it remained for the rest of the game.

Beal, who was playing in her home State of North Carolina, shot 8-13 from the field. Jolin was even more efficient with her shooting touch, hitting 6-8 attempts from the floor overall, including 5-6 from three-point range.

Nogic completed the game with nine points, two rebounds and one assist. Botteghi finished the day with eight points and a game-high seven rebounds. Sophomore Clara Che (Valencia, Spain) dished a team-high three assists and added four rebounds.

The Friars (5-0) are off to their best start since the 2006-07 season when the team began the year with six-consecutive victories.
