PROVIDENCE, RI - The Providence women's basketball team recorded an exhibition victory over Nor'Easter Storm, 81-61 in Alumni Hall this evening.

Five players recorded double digits for the Friars. Senior Dana Simonelli (Toms River, NJ) recorded a double-double while registering 10 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Catrina Hawley-Stewart (West Haven, CT) also earned the double-double with 11 points and 12 boards. The rookie also tallied four assists and three steals in 27 minutes on the court. Sophomore Jen Gombotz (Southington, CT) tallied 11 points while freshman Chrissy Vozab (Amenia, NY) tallied 10 points and six boards.

The Friars led 45-31 at the half after shooting 50% in the first session and holding Nor'Easter Storm to only 25%. The Friars finished 39% from the field and out rebounded their opponent, 64-52.

The Friars play Lithuania on Wednesday, November 11 at 7:00 pm to close out their preseason schedule. PC opens at Arkansas on November 16.
