Providence, R.I. - Juniors Monika Roberts (Pittsburg, Calif.) and Dani Trippany (Massena, N.Y.) scored 23 and 16 points respectively to lead the Black team to a 62-42 win over the White team in the Annual Mal Brown Scrimmage held Saturday afternoon at PC's Alumni Hall.

The duo helped the Black team build a 38-20 halftime lead to coast to the win. Roberts was 11-for-17 from the field and added a free throw for her 23 point effort. She also led all rebounders with 11 in the contest.

Trippany was 8-for-12 from the floor and pulled down eight rebounds. The 6-5 junior missed all but one game last season due to a stress fracture.

Jen Gombotz (Jr., Southington, Conn.) also scored in double figures with 13 points.

For the White Squad, Amy Drechsler (Jr., Rochester, N.Y.) was the lone player in double figures as she scored 10 points in the loss.

The women's team opens the preseason schedule on Friday, November 5th when they host a foreign exhibition at Alumni Hall. Game time is 7:00 p.m. and admission is free.
