Massena High School/Massena, NY
Dani Trippany is a legitimate center with a dominant
defensive and rebounding presence in the post. A Pre-Season
Street & Smith Honorable Mention All-America, she is a
two-time MVP of the Central Division of the Northern
Athletic Conference and MVP All-North. She has been named
First Team All-Conference three-times as well as Academic
All-Conference. A three-time team MVP, Trippany scored
1,338 points and grabbed 1,125 rebounds in her career as
well as registering a career high of 37 points. She tallied
382 career assists, 143 assists and 84 steals. A two-sport
captain, she is also a member of the National Honor Society
and Spanish National Honor Society.
Jennifer Gombotz
6-0, Forward
Southington High/Southington, CT
Jen Gombotz, a 6-0 forward from Southington High (CT) was
recognized by Street & Smith as a Pre-Season All-America
Honorable Mention. Leading her squad to three conference
championships and a League Championship as a senior, Gombotz
is a three-time First Team All-Conference select and
All-State twice. As a junior and senior, Gombotz was a
First Team pick in three different sports. As a senior, she
averaged 18.3 points and 7.8 rebounds. In her career, she
tallied 1,135 points for a 15.9 ppg average. Her point
total is the second best in school history. She also
tallied 514 rebounds, 234 steals and 92 blocks which is the
all-time best at Southington High. As a junior, her squad
finished with a 14-0 conference record and a 23-1 overall
record as the State Runner-up. Gombatz was a two-time MVP
and captained the basketball and softball squads.
Monika Roberts
6-2, Forward
Pittsburg, CA/Antioch High
Monika Roberts averaged 17.0 points and 8.7 rebounds as a
senior at Antioch High. She played her first three seasons
at College Park High (CA) and averaged15.5 points in those
three seasons. In her four years, Roberts chalked up a
total of 1,358 points and 1,038 rebounds. At College Park
as a junior, she helped lead the team to a 26-8 mark and the
Division 2 Championship. The team MVP at Antioch High,
Roberts tallied a game high of 27 points, 12 rebounds and 6
blocks in the championship game of the Lady Panther
Tournament.
Abby Charbonneau
5-4, Guard
Webster, MA/Bartlett High
Abby Charbonneau is a three-time all conference pick at
Bartlett High (MA) and led her team to the State finals
twice and conference championship three times. She averaged
12.0 points and 6.0 assists in her career and was on the
Telegram and Gazette Top 10 Super Team. A captain on the
basketball floor as a senior, Charbonneau was also named to
the All-State soccer team.
Amy Drechsler
6-2, Forward
Rochester, NY/Greece Athena High
Amy Drechsler has twice been noticed by Street & Smith as a
Pre-Season Honorable Mention All-America. She is a
three-year starter at Greece Athena High and led her squad
to a career record of 100-17. The Monroe County Co-Player
of the Year, Drechsler was also named First Team All-County,
First Team All-State and was selected to play in the Greater
Rochester Exceptional Senior All-Star Game. She was also a
USA Today Honorable Mention All-America and WBCA/Nike
Honorable Mention High School All-America. As a senior, she
led her squad to the SEction Five Class A Finals with a team
record of 21-3. She holds six school records at Greece
Athena. A two-time captain, Drechshler tallied 1,362 points
while pulling down 628 rebounds.
