Men's Cross Country Ranked 21st in National Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's cross country team is ranked No. 21 in the MONDO Division I Men's Cross Country National Poll, which was released on Tuesday, November 4.

Providence competed at the BIG EAST Championship on Friday, October 31 at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. The Friars finished fourth overall and were led by junior Dylan Wykes (Kingston, Ont.) who placed fourth in a time of 24:44.

PC earned 138 points and moved to No. 21 in this week's poll. Stanford (479 points) received 15 first-place votes to maintain the No. 1 position for the seventh-consecutive week. Wisconsin (464 points), Colorado (439 points), Iona (427 points) and Northern Arizona (418 points) round out the top five.

Providence will compete again on Saturday, November 15 at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
