Men's Cross Country Ranked 20th In National Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's cross country team in ranked No. 20 in the MONDO Division I Men's Cross Country National Poll, which was released on Tuesday, October 21.

Providence has not competed since Friday, October 10 when it captured the New England Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. It marked the fourth consecutive New England title and the 23rd overall in school history.

The Friars earned 166 points and moved to No. 20. Stanford (479 points) received 15 first-place votes to maintain the No. 1 position for the sixth consecutive week. Wisconsin (464 points), Iona (432 points), Colorado (431 points) and Northern Arizona (425 points) round out the top five.

Providence will compete again on Friday, October 31 at the BIG EAST Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in New York, N.Y.
