Providence Finishes Fourth at New England Championship
BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College men's cross country team finished fourth at the New England Championship on Friday, Oct. 17 at Franklin Park in Boston Mass. The Friars scored 134 points and finished behind Brown (first - 55 points), Dartmouth (second - 90) and Boston College (third - 118).
Junior Zack Ventress of Spokane, Wash. led the men's team as he finished sixth in a time of 24:11. Sophomore Keith Kelly of Drogheda, Ireland (ninth - 24:21), sophomore Larry Morrissey of Waterford, Ireland (31st - 24:55), junior Rick Bush of Clifton Park, N.Y. (37th - 25:00) and senior Paul McNamara of Galway, Ireland (51st - 25:16) also scored for the Friars.
The men's team returns to action on Oct. 31 at the BIG EAST Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in New York, N.Y.
