FAYETTVILLE, Ark. - Freshman Hannah Davidson (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) concluded a successful first collegiate season on Wednesday night, June 10 at the NCAA Championships in Fayettville, Ark. Davidson placed ninth in her semifinal heat of the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:24.83.

Davidson failed to make the final, placing 19th overall. She finishes her first season with the Friars with personal bests in the mile (4:52.61), 3,000 meter steeplechase (10:15.97), 3000 meters (9:29.81) and 5,000 meters (16:41.61).

David McCarthy (Waterford, Ireland) and senior Danette Doetzel (Macklin, Sask.) will compete tonight at the 2009 NCAA Oudoor Track and Field Championships. McCarthy will run the preliminary heats of the 1,500 meters at 9:10 pm (EST) and Doetzel will compete in the 10,000 meter final at 9:55 pm (EST). Both races can be watched online.
