PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
Three members of the Providence College men's and women's track teams will compete at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 11-14. The NCAA Championships are scheduled to be held in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake Stadium. Junior Danette Doetzel (Macklin, Saskatchewan) and junior Katie DiCamillo (Garden City, N.Y.) will represent the women's team at the NCAA's while senior Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) will represent the Providence College men's team.
Doetzel will compete in the 10,000 meters on Thursday, June 12 at 9:10 p.m. ET. On May 3, she posted an automatic qualifying time of 33:27.64 in the 10,000 meters at the 2008 BIG EAST Outdoor Track Championship, en route to the BIG EAST individual title. DiCamillo was selected to compete in the 5,000 meters after her performance at the NCAA East Regional Championship on May 30 in Tallahassee, Fla. DiCamillo posted a time of 16:33.70 at the Regionals. She will run the 5,000 meter semifinals on Wednesday, June 11 at 9:10 p.m ET. If she advances to the finals of the 5,000 it will be held on Friday, June 13 at 10:15 p.m. ET.
Haji will compete in the 5,000 meter event on the men's side at the NCAA Championships, the semifinals are on Wednesday, June 11 at 9:50 p.m. ET and if he advances to the finals he will be set to compete on Friday, June 13 at 10:35 p.m. ET. Haji earned a qualifying time of 13:57.01 at the Penn Relays on April 24-26 in Philadelphia, Pa.

CBS College Sports Network (formerly CSTV) will be airing live television coverage of the NCAA Track and Field Championships on Friday, June 13th from 8-11 p.m. ET. CBS also will broadcast live coverage of the final day (Saturday, June 14) of competition from 4-6 p.m. ET.
