PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Several runners from the Providence College men's and women's track teams each competed on May 12-13.

On May 12, sophomore Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) ran the 5,000 meters at the IC4A Championship in Princeton, N.J. He finished ninth in a time of 14:19.81.

On May 13, junior Meghan Owen (Danielson, Conn.) and sophomore NelleTrefz (Iowa City, Iowa) each ran the 1,500 meters at the New England Championships in Boston. Owen placed second in a time of 4:31.02 and Trefz finished seventh in a time of 4:43.45. On the men's side, senior Richard Jones (Wellington, New Zealand) ran the 1,500 meters and finished seventh in a time of 3:56.8.
