Men's Track Competes At IC4A

IC4A Outdoor Championship at Princeton, N.J. - May 19-21, 2000

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Providence College men's track team competed at the IC4A Outdoor Track Championship at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J. on May 19-21.

Sophomore Dermot Galvin (Kilrush, Ireland) was the Friars' top finisher, placing seventh in the 5,000 meters in a time of 14:35.52. Teammate junior Ciaran Lynch (Limerick, Ireland) also ran the 5,000 and finished in a time of 14:46.95.

Sophomore Hamish Thorpe (Auckland, New Zealand) ran a strong race in the 1,500 meters. Thorpe was ninth in a time of 3:49.59. Freshman Chris Livesey (Preston, England) finished the 1,500 in a time of 4:03.67.
