PROVIDENCE COLLEGE MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TRACK PENN RELAYS, Philadelphia, Pa. - April 24-25, 2003

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Providence College men's and women's track teams completed their second day and final day of competition at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. on Friday, April 25.

On Friday, the Friars had one men's and one women's relay squad compete. PC's women's team of senior Roisin McGettigan (Wicklow, Ireland), senior Emer O'Shea (Limerick, Ireland), freshman Fiona Crombie (Christchurch, New Zealand) and sophomore Mary Cullen (Sligo, Ireland) competed in the 4 X 1,500 meter relay college women's Championship of America race and placed third in a time of 17:47.06.

The Friar men's squad of sophomore Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland), freshman Dan Robb (Newton, Mass.), freshman Richard Jones (Wellington, New Zealand) and freshman Martin Fagan (Mullingar, Ireland) finished fifth in the college division distance medley relay in a time of 9:51.74.
