MEN'S TRACK at University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn.. - April 7, 2001

STORRS, Conn. -- The Providence College men's track team scored 30 points and finished sixth of seven teams at the University of Connecticut at Storrs, Conn., on Saturday, April 7.

Senior Keith Kelly (Drogheda, Ireland) led the Friars as he finished first in the 1,500 meters (3:47.74). With his time of 3:47.74, Kelly qualified for the IC4A Championship. In addition to Kelly's strong finish, junior Paul Reilly (Loughrea, Ireland) and sophomore Adam Sutton (Preston, England) finished second and third, respectively, in the 1,500. Reilly was second in a time of 3:52.79 and Sutton was third in a time of 3:53.43.

In the 5,000 meters, sophomore Tyler McCabe (Mystic, Conn.) was sixth and junior Tim Morris (Walpole, Mass.) placed seventh (15:19.39).
