    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's track and field team competed at the ECAC Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track in Boston, Mass. Freshman Shelby Greany (Suffern, N.Y.) defeated all competitors in the 3,000m with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 9:30.83. Classmate Sam Roecker (Charlton, N.Y.) finished sixth in a time of 9:44.80 and senior Krystal Douglas (Harpswell, Maine) placed eighth in 9:46.65. Sophomore Mary Kate Champagne (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) and junior Emma Perron (West Hartford, Conn.) placed 11th and 12th, respectively. Champagne finished in a time of 9:48.28 with Perron right behind at 9:48.34.

    Senior Breffini Twohig (Dublin, Ireland) placed fifth in the 5,000m, finishing with a time of 16:49.06. Graduate student Katie DiCamillo (Garden City, N.J.) finished eighth in 16:53.01.

    The Providence College men's team sent three runners to the IC4A Championships on the Boston University campus this past weekend. Sophomore Tom Webb (Williston, Vt.) placed ninth in the 3,000m, finishing first in his heat with a time of 8:18.6. Graduate student Richard Yeates (Dublin, Ireland) placed 18th with a time of 8:25.08. Graduate student Alan Pandiani (Shrewsbury, Mass.) placed 28th in the 500m with a time of 1:04.99.

    Both teams will compete at the NCAA Championships in Fayetville, Ark. on the University of Arkansas campus on March 12 and 13.
