The Providence College men's indoor track and field team sent four competitors to the Last Chance BU Meet today, Sunday, March 2. All four competitors finished with IC4A Championship qualifying times in the one mile run.
Sophomore Julain Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) led the pack with a third-place overall finish. Oakley's IC4A qualifying time of 4:00.50 also proved to be a personal-best in the one mile. Oakley was closely followed by graduate student Kevin Cooper (Waterford, Ireland), who finished fourth overall with a personal-best time of 4:01.82.
Sophomore Harvey Dixon (Aldershot, England) and graduate student Julian Saad (Trumbull, Conn.) also competed in the one mile run, where the two finished seventh and 14th, respectively. Dixon's time of 4:03.54 was a personal-best performance, while Saad finished in an IC4A qualifying time of 4:08.23.
The Friars are back in action on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 at the IC4A Championships in Boston, Mass. The meet starts at 11:00 a.m. both days.
