Men's Indoor Track Competes at Fastrack Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College men's indoor track team competed at the FasTrack Invitational on Saturday, February 15 at the Boston University Pavillion.

Senior Tyler McCabe (Mystic, Conn.) led the Friars with a second-place finish in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 8:07.72. McCabe qualified provisionally for the NCAA's. In the mile-run, sophomore Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland) ran his best mile of the 2002-03 indoor track season, finishing second in a time of 4:04.92. Graduate student Paul Reilly (Loughrea, Ireland) finished fifth in a time of 4:08.52 and sophomore Pat Guidera (Clonmel, Ireland) finished 16th in a time of 4:14.01. Reale, Reilly and Guidera all qualified for the IC4A's.

Providence returns to action on Saturday, February 22 at the BIG EAST Championship in Syracuse, N.Y.
