Men's Indoor Track Competes At St. Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College men's indoor track team competed at the St. Valentine Invitational on February 11-12 at Boston University. Senior Patrick Moulton (Pelham, N.H.) ran a personal best time in the 3,000 meters as he recorded a time of 8:16.02. Moulton finished seventh overall and fourth among collegiate competitors. Sophomore Nick Weidman (Sudbury, Mass.) finished 26th in a time of 8:35.71 and qualified for the BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships. In the 1,000 meters, junior Richard Jones (Wellington, New Zealand) improved on his time from last week by nearly eight seconds. Jones ran the race in 2:22.66 to finish third overall and second among collegiate competitors. Freshman Mike Blanchard (Galesferry, Conn.) finished 21st in a time of 2:30.63 as he qualified for the BIG EAST Championships. Freshman Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) ran the mile in 4:07.11 to place sixth overall as he also qualified for the BIG EAST Championships. Classmate Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) also qualified for the BIG EAST Championships as he ran a time of 4:16.32 to finish 32nd. MEN'S INDIVIDUAL RESULTS ST.
