Men's Indoor Track Competes at Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College men's track team competed at the Terrier Classic at Boston University in Boston, Mass. on Saturday, January 27.

The Friars were led by junior Hamish Thorpe (Auckland, New Zealand), who finished third in the 3,000 meters (8:13.38). PC's other top finishers were junior Paul Reilly (Loughrea, Ireland) and sophomore Tim Curran (Northboro, Mass.). Reilly placed sixth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:20.38, while Curran placed 11th with a time of 8:31.66.

In the 5,000 meters, junior Dermot Galvin (Kilrush, Ireland) and sophomore Adam Sutton (Preston, England) both ran a strong race. Galvin placed third (14:08.72) and Sutton finished fifth (14:14.60) in the 5,000.

The Friars return to action on February 10 at the Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
