KINGSTON, R.I. -

The Providence College men's indoor track team competed at the Sorlein Memorial Invitational on the campus of the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, R.I. Martin Fagan and Max Smith each recorded first-place finishes in their respective events. Fagan won the mile in a time of 4:10.50. Smith placed first in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:25.23. Other top-five finishes for the Friars included a third-place finish for Richard Jones in the 800 meter run (1:54.07), and a second-place finish by Joe Dionne in the 3,000 meters (8:37.91).
