Mac Steeves Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Great Lakes Region Third Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College redshirt senior Mac Steeves (Needham, Mass.) collected another honor from the 2017 season as he was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Great Lakes Region Third Team on Dec. 1.

Steeves had an impressive final campaign for the Friars, leading the team in both points (19) and goals (8). He played in all 18 games, making 12 starts. At the conclusion of the regular season, he ranked fourth in the BIG EAST in both goals scored and total points. Following the season, he was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and was an Honorable Mention for the All-ECAC Team.

Steeves finished his career as one of the most prolific scorers in program history. His time at Providence included 35 goals and 12 assists for 82 points. He is second all-time in both goals scored and total points at Providence.

In total, 16 BIG EAST men’s soccer players were recognized on the three All-Great Lakes Region Teams. Six different teams, including Providence, had their programs recognized. The United Soccer Coaches All-America teams will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 7.
