Colin Miller Collects Second-Consecutive BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I.It was announced today (Nov. 2) that Providence College redshirt junior Colin Miller (Bel Air, Md.) was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Miller’s honor comes following a 0-0 draw with St. John’s on Wednesday night (Nov. 1). He made five saves en route to his fifth shutout of the season. Two of his saves were highlight-reel quality and both came in the first half to help preserve the tie.

The Friars are currently on a seven-game unbeaten streak with a 3-0-4 record. In that stretch, Miller has allowed just five goals. He has also recorded three of his five shutouts during the streak.

Overall this season, Miller has compiled a 5-5-5 record in net. He holds a 0.97 goals against average and a .784 save percentage. He is fourth in both goals against average and save percentage in the BIG EAST.

The Friars enter the BIG EAST Tournament seeded at No. 5. They travel to take on No. 4 Xavier on Saturday, Nov. 4. The game is set for 7:00 p.m. at XU Soccer Complex.
