PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's soccer team moved to No. 22 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Poll and No. 20 in the Soccer America Poll. Providence is one of seven BIG EAST teams in NSCAA poll and one of six in the Soccer America Poll.

The Friars (3-1-3) posted a 0-1-2 record last week. The Friars played to a pair of scoreless ties at Northeastern on September 15 and against Cincinnati on September 19 at Glay Field. Providence then suffered its first loss of the season, a 1-0 defeat at the hands of then No. 19/16 Louisville on Sunday, September 21. It marked the first goal that the Friars have yielded at home this season and just the second overall.

The Friars return to action this weekend with a pair of BIG EAST Conference road matches. On Friday, September 26, Providence will play at Syracuse. Then on Sunday, September 28, the Friars will face No. 5/6 St. John's.
