The Providence College men’s soccer team is ranked No. 25 in this week’s Soccer America Top 25 national poll. It marks the first time since November 16, 2010 that the Friars have been ranked in the Soccer America Poll. The Friars also are ranked 23rd this week’s College Soccer News national poll.
Providence climbed into the Soccer America poll following a pair of 1-0 victories last week over Rhode Island and Sacred Heart. The Friars have won five consecutive games, including their most recent 2-0 triumph against Holy Cross on Wednesday, September 14 at Glay Field.
Providence (5-1) is back in action on Saturday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. whey it plays at No. 3 Creighton in Omaha, Neb.
