The format for the 2013 Ocean State Soccer Classic has been changed due to construction on the Providence College campus. The annual men's soccer tournament features Rhode Island's four Div. I men's soccer programs including Brown, Bryant, Providence College and Rhode Island.
On Friday, Sept. 6, first round games will include Rhode Island hosting Providence College (7:00 p.m.) and Brown hosting Bryant (7:00 p.m.). Then on Sunday, Sept. 8, Providence College will host Brown (4:00 p.m.) and Rhode Island will host Bryant (7:00 p.m.).
The 2013 Ocean State Soccer Classic championship will be awarded based on points accumulated throughout the weekend. Teams will be awarded three points for a win and one point for a tie. Head-to-head results will serve as the tie breaker. If head-to-head results do not resolve the tie, co-champions will be announced.
On Monday, Sept. 9 the 2013 Ocean State Classic All-Tournament Team and Tournament MVP will be announced.
