Gressel Named To Preseason All-BIG EAST Team

    The BIG EAST Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll and Preseason All-BIG EAST Team were released on Aug. 19. Providence was selected to finish fifth out of the 10 teams in the league.

    Sophomore Julian Gressel (Neustadt an der Aisch, Germany) was among 15 players named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. In 2013, Gressel led the team in goals (5), assists (4), points (14), shots on goal (23) and tied for the most game-winning goals (2). He was also named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie and All-BIG EAST Second Team.


     

     

    The Friars kick-off their season at Bryant University on Aug. 29 at 3:00 p.m. and will have their first home game on Aug. 31 against Rhode Island at 7:00 p.m.
