Friars End Season with a Loss to Dartmouth
HANOVER, N.H. - Providence College completed its 1997 season with a 3-1 loss to Dartmouth in men's soccer action Tuesday, November 4 at Hanover, N.H.
PC's Juan Acevedo scored the game's first goal at the 7:04 mark. Dartmouth's Chris Dedicik netted a goal at the 30:41 mark to tie the game. Brad Christof scored the game-winner for Dartmouth at the 36:14 mark to go-ahead 2-1. Dartmouth's Matt Blanton netted the third goal for Dartmouth at the 49:35 mark.
Dartmouth goalkeeper Matt Streng made five saves in the win. PC's Chris Tate and Dan Pires combined to make eight stops in the loss.
Dartmouth improved its overall record to 9-2-3, while Providence finished the season with a 3-15 record.
