Men's Soccer Loses to Seton Hall
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's soccer team was defeated by Seton Hall University in BIG EAST men's soccer action, 5-1, Sunday, October 19 at Providence, R.I.
Seton Hall's Peter Scavo scored the games first goal at the 26:17 mark. Scavo gave Seton Hall a 2-0 lead when he netted in the Pirates' second goal at the 50:06 mark. PC's Michael Eisenhut scored the Friars only goal at the 65:46 mark. Seton Hall's last three goals were scored by Peter Gonzalez at 87:10, Bill Deftos at 88:29 and Frank Collado at the 89:38 mark.
Derek Martin and Seth Cohen combined to make four saves in the win for Seton Hall. PC's Dan Pires registered six stops in the loss.
Seton Hall University improved its overall record to 7-6 and 5-2 in the BIG EAST, while Providence dropped to 3-11 overall and 1-7 in the BIG EAST.
Providence College returns to action on Friday, October 24 against Villanova at Villanova, Pa.
