Providence College Men’s Soccer Earns 0-0 Draw at No. 10 Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Providence College men’s soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw at No. 10 Georgetown in a key BIG EAST matchup at Shaw Field on Wednesday afternoon. With the result, Providence moves to 1-2-4 in BIG EAST play and into a tie for sixth place with Marquette at seven points in the league standings.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Each team landed just one shot on target in the opening half, with Joao Serrano registering Providence’s lone shot. Georgetown overall led in shots 5-1 in the first half.
- Midfielder Klisman Sousa was assessed a yellow card in the 23rd minute of play.
- Colin Miller came up with a key save for the Friars in the 63rd minute as he denied a one-timer bid from Zach Knudson after a cross from Declan McCabe.
- Mac Steeves and Brendan Constantine were also cautioned in the 85th and 88th minute, respectively in the second half.
- The Friars had a great chance to end things in the first overtime as Serrano sent a service into the box that pin-balled off of multiple players before Marcinkowski was able to corral it.
