PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
Providence College first-year Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Chris Gabrielli recently spoke at the annual IMLCA Convention, which was held on December 6-9 in Baltimore, Md. Gabrielli was named the Friars' eighth head coach on June 21, 2012, after spending the last six seasons as an assistant coach at Duke University. While at Duke, he worked primarily with the Blue Devils' defensive unit. He also served as the program's recruiting coordinator, under the direction of current Duke Head Coach John Danowski.
"It was truly an honor to speak at such a prestigious event and represent Providence College lacrosse in front of nearly 200 college, club, high school and youth coaches who span the nation," Gabrielli said. "Professional development is such an important part of athletics and I am thankful for the opportunities we have as coaches to share knowledge in this format."
Gabrielli's presentation covered fundamentals, pre-season preparation, standards and quality vs. quantity. Coach Gabrielli's outline, power point presentation and 26-minute drills/skills video is available by clicking the links below.
