PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Tuesday, Dec. 3 the Providence College men's lacrosse program hosted a clinic for students from Mount Pleasant Academy located in Providence, R.I.

Prior to the start of the clinic, Head Coach Chris Gabrielli along with his assistants John Galloway and Brett Holm teamed up with some current Friars to give the students a tour of their brand new facilities located in Schneider Arena. The tour included an inside look at the new locker room, weight room, coaches suites, video room and training room.

After the tour, Gabrielli and his staff taught the students of Mount Pleasant the fundamentals of the game and created a fun learning environment for the exploration of lacrosse. After learning the basics of throwing, catching, and stick handling, the group competed in a shooting contest, and the day concluded with a relay race and team photo.

The Friar lacrosse program looks to build relationships within the community and is eager to spread its love and passion for the game of lacrosse to the youth in the area.
