Former Friar Jarrod Neumann Selected No. 38 By The Colorado Mammoth

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Former Providence College men’s lacrosse player Jarrod Neumann (Springfield, Mass.) was selected as the 38th overall pick in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft on Monday, Sept. 18 by the Colorado Mammoth. The draft was held at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario.

On May 28, 2017 Neumann was selected as the 25th overall pick by the Florida Launch (Third Round, 7th pick) in the 2017 Major League Lacrosse Draft (MLL). Neumann made his professional debut against New York on Jun. 10.

Neumann, graduated from Providence College in 2017 and currently serves as a graduate assistant for the men’s lacrosse program, as he complete graduate school. In his final season, Neumann earned USILA/Nike Second-Team recognition and was name to the Inside Lacrosse Media All-America Third-Team. Additionally, the defenseman nabbed BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year as well as All-BIG EAST First Team recognition, BIG EAST All-Tournament Team honors and NEILA All-New England First-Team accolades. Neumann also competed in the 76th Annual USILA/Nike North-South All-Star Game.
