Providence College men’s lacrosse Assistant Coach John Galloway was one of 52 players to be named to the U.S. Men’s National Team training roster on Tuesday, Sept. 3 by U.S. Lacrosse.
Galloway was one of four goalies to be named to the roster. Accompanying Galloway will be Drew Adams, Jesse Schwartzman and Kip Turner. Each of the four goalies are current members of MLL rosters.
The 52-man roster will train with Team USA in a series of fall and winter events. The players will compete in the Champion Challenge, a U.S. Lacrosse event, which will help decide which 23 players will be named to the final World Championship roster. The Champion Challenge will be hosted at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. from Jan. 24-26.
The final roster will compete for a record 10th world title at the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships. The event will be hosted by U.S. Lacrosse and will run from July 10-19, 2014 in Denver, Colo.
