    PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

The Providence College men's lacrosse program has announced that it will be hosting its Annual Fall Alumni Game on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 12:00 p.m. The game is part of a series of events that make up the lacrosse program's Annual Alumni Weekend.

Providence alumni are welcome to suit up against the current 2014 Friar lacrosse team on Lennon Family Field, the home of the Friars. "Our hope is that we get another great turnout for our Alumni Game on September 28th," said Head Coach Chris Gabrielli. "Last year, over 50 Friar lacrosse Alums participated! Our Alumni Game is a very important component to our team's development and also serves as a great opportunity to bridge the gap between our current players and coaches and our faithful Lacrosse Alumni."

"Another unique aspect of this year's Alumni Game will be the chance for our alumni and parents to view our new locker room, player's lounge, video room, office space, weight room and training room for the very first time," said Coach Gabrielli. At 11 a.m., prior to the start alumni game, alumni, parents, and Friar fans will have the opportunity to tour the new lacrosse training facility and locker room suite. "Our current athletes will have the finest lacrosse facilities in the country, that will serve not only as a great recruiting tool, but more importantly will provide an atmosphere for athletic development and learning that very few Lacrosse players are so fortunate to experience," said Coach Gabrielli. "Our Friar Lacrosse Alumni laid the foundation that enabled such progress, and we want to celebrate this historic evolution of PC Lacrosse with those that made it possible."

Post-game, be sure to reunite with former Friars, parents and Friar lacrosse fans at McPhail's located in the Slavin Center at Providence College.
