PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Senior defenseman Ryan Riedl (Winchester, Mass.) was named to the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll on Monday, May 10. It marked the first time he has earned the honor in his career and the fifth time a Friar has been recognized in 2010.

Sophomore goaltender Christian Dzwilewski (Huntington, N.Y.) also earned the honor on April 5, April 19, April 26 and May 3 this season.

Riedl garnered the recognition after tying a season-high with five ground balls and causing a game-high three turnovers on May 9 against Rutgers in the final game of his career. On the season, Riedl ranked first on the Friars with 43 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers, and his 1.67 caused turnovers per game ranks him 21st in the nation in that category.

For his career, the senior picked up 123 ground balls and posted four points on three goals and an assist. Riedl was named to the All-MAAC Second Team in his sophomore season and earned All-MAAC First Team accolades as a junior.
