PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Sophomore goaltender Christian Dzwilewski (Huntington, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll for the second-consecutive week on Monday, April 26. It marked the third time in four weeks he has earned the honor, as he also garnered BIG EAST recognition on April 5 and April 19.

Dzwilewski made 16 saves and posted his first-career goal in two games for the Friars last week. Against Brown on April 20, his first-quarter goal marked the first point by a PC goalie since the 2003 season. Seeing that Bears keeper Matt Chriss had left the Brown goal, Dzwilewski lofted a shot over 50 yards that rolled into the net for a score. His impressive goal was featured on the 6:00 p.m. edition of ESPN's SportsCenter on Wednesday, April 21.

Against No. 1/1 Syracuse on April 24, Dzwilewski made a career-best 15 saves and posted a .517 save percentage against the nation's seventh-ranked offense.

Since Dzwilewski took on a starting role against Bryant on April 3, the 6-foot-2-inch sophomore has averaged 10.2 saves and a .513 save percentage over six games. On the season, Dzwilewski has seen 356:47 of action, making a team-high 67 saves and posting a .489 save percentage. His 12.67 saves per game is tops amongst BIG EAST goaltenders in league games this season.

The Friars return to action on Saturday, May 1 with a 2:00 p.m. contest against No. 13/12 Villanova at the Friar Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. Admission is free.
