PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's lacrosse team is set to host No. 3 Denver in its final home game of the 2014 slate. The Friars and Pioneers are scheduled to face-off at the Ray Treacy Track Complex at 12:00 p.m. in Providence, R.I. Prior to the start of the afternoon match-up, the Providence College senior class will be honored for their accomplishments and contributions to the Friar lacrosse program.

The Friars enter Saturday with an overall record of 3-10 (0-4 BIG EAST). Providence last competed on Saturday, April 12 in Milwaukee, Wis. where the Friars fell to the Golden Eagles, 7-6.
Senior Andrew Barton (Timonium, Md.) leads the Friars with 41 points on 27 goals and 14 assists. Senior Sean Wright (Silver Spring, Md.) ranks second on the team in scoring with 40 points on 21 goals and 19 assists. Freshman Alex Corboy (College Park, Md.) has also broke the 20-point plateau with 21 points on 19 goals and two assists. Freshman Joseph Fitzpatrick (Rockville, Md.) and junior Greg FitzMaurice(Huntington, N.Y.) round out the Friars leading scorers with 19 and 14 points, respectively.
Senior face-off specialist Ryan Shaw(East Hampton, N.Y.) has won 91-of-212 attempts at the "X" for a .429 win percentage. In addition Shaw has picked up 52 ground balls.
Freshman Jarrod Neumann (Springfield, Mass.) and senior Zach Rogers(Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) lead Providence's defensive core with 19 and 17 caused turnovers, respectively. The two have combined for 61 ground balls.
Senior Tyler Himes(Spring City, Pa.) has started each of the Friars' 13 games in goal. In 701:17 minutes of play, Himes has posted 131 saves for a .520 saves percentage.
SCOUTING DENVER: THe Pioneers enter Saturday with an overall record of 10-2 including a 4-0 mark in BIG EAST play. Jack Bobzien leads Denver with 44 points on 28 goals and 16 assists. Wesley Berg ranks second on the squad in scoring with 40 points on 27 goals and 13 assists. Zach Miller, Erik Adamson and Jeremy Noble have also eclipsed the 30-point plateau. Miller has notched 35 points while Adamson and Noble have tallied 31 points apiece. Chris Hampton has won 70-of-158 attempts at the "X" for a .443 win percentage. Jamie Faus and Ryan LaPlante have split time in goal. Faus has played 364:24 minutes in the cage and has tallied 60 saves while LaPlante has played 345 minutes and posted 73 saves.
