    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Tuesday, March 5, junior midfielder Andrew Barton (Timonium, Md.) was named Anaconda/Sports Lids Player of the Week by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA).

    Barton tallied a game high six points on two goals and four assists in Providence's 12-9 win over Manhattan on Saturday, March 2. Barton ranks second on the team in scoring with 12 points on six goals and six assists.

    Providence currently ranks fifth in the NEILA Coaches Poll behind UMass (3-1), Fairfield (3-2), Yale (1-2) and Quinnipiac (2-0).

    Providence returns to action on Saturday, March 9 when the Friars host Sacred Heart. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I.
