Men's Lacrosse Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honors For Third-Consecutive Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College men's lacrosse senior defenseman Ian Grey (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll as announced by the league on Monday, Feb. 26. The Friars have earned BIG EAST league recognition for three-consecutive weeks. Grey helped lead the Friars defensive effort against St. Joseph's to capture a 4-3 victory. Three goals are the fewest allowed by Providence since 2008.

Grey and the Friars allowed zero goals for the Hawks in the second half. He picked up two ground balls and caused one turnover in the win.

The Friars will hit the road for their fifth game of the season against Sacred Heart on Saturday, March 3 in Fairfield, Conn. Opening faceoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
