    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior defenseman Brian O'Rorke (Montclair, N.J.) was named Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Preseason Honorable Mention All-American for the upcoming 2003 men's lacrosse season.

    During the 2002 season, O'Rorke registered 44 groundballs in 16 games as a long-stick defenseman. He earned MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and All-MAAC First Team honors upon completion of the season. As a freshman in 2001, O'Rorke started all 16 games and earned MAAC Rookie of the Year honors. He has a total of 85 groundballs in his career. A native of Montclair, N.J., he is the son of Richard and Mary-Ann O'Rorke.

    The Friars completed the 2002 season with a 9-7 overall record and finished tied for second in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) standings with a record of 5-2. PC earned an invitation to the MAAC Championships for the second-straight season under the direction of Head Coach Chris Burdick.
