CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College defeated the Providence College Friars, 12-10, on Wednesday, April 15 in men's lacrosse action at Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Paced by freshman Jim Dooley's three goals, Providence held a 7-4 lead after the first 30 minutes of play. However, the Eagles outscored PC, 5-2, in the third quarter and evened the game at 9-9. BC continued its strong offensive attack, tallying three goals in the final stanza to earn a 12-10 victory.
The Friars were led on offense by junior Matt Pymm who registered four goals and three assists.
PC goalkeeper Rob Chambers and Boston College netminder Anthony Cirri each made 14 saves.
With the win, Boston College raised its record to 5-6, while Providence dropped to 3-6 overall.
PC returns to action on Saturday, April 18 against Manhattan at Providence at 2:00 p.m.
