Men's Hockey to Host "I Fight for Drew Brown Night" on Saturday

Nov. 8, 2017

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's hockey program will host "I Fight for Drew Brown Night" on Saturday night (Nov. 11) against UMass at Schneider Arena beginning at 7 p.m.

In 2014, former Friar hockey player Drew Brown '16 (Grass Lake, Mich.) was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. To this day he continues his courageous battle with the disease at home with his family and fiancée at his side.

All proceeds from Saturday night's game poster, chuck-a-puck, "I Fight for Drew Brown" signs, and silent auction sales will go directly to the Brown family. Former Friar and current Boston Bruin Noel Acciari will donate items to be auctioned off on Saturday.

Fans not attending Saturday's game can also donate to Drew Brown's GoFundMe page. Donation stations will be set up in the lobby of Schneider Arena for fans wishing to donate directly to the Brown family.
