BOSTON, Mass. - Providence College men's hockey broadcaster Mike Logan received the Joe Concannon Media Award on Monday, September 29 at the 25th Annual Hockey East Media Day at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Mass. Logan is the 17th recipient of the Joe Concannon Media Award.

Logan has been the voice of Providence College hockey for the past 13 seasons. He also serves as the play-by-play announcer for the Friars' games on Cox Sports TV. In addition to men¹s hockey game, Logan also has broadcast PC women¹s hockey, as well as men's and women's basketball.

He also served as the play-by-play announcer for the Pawtucket Red Sox from 1997-2000 and has filled in as needed since that time. Logan also spent two years broadcasting Northeastern men¹s basketball (1998-2000), and has done some part-time announcing for Northeastern football, along with Harvard football and basketball. Since 2001, Logan operatedMWLsports, which produces and broadcasts high school football games in Southeastern Massachusetts.

A 1991 graduate of Northeastern University, Logan resides in Middleboro, Massachusetts with his wife Debbie and nine-year-old daughter Abbey.
