The City of Boston, the Hockey East Association and Fenway Sports Management (FSM) today held a press conference at Fenway Park and announced that tickets for Citi Frozen Fenway 2014 will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 6 at noon.
The two-week series of outdoor hockey and ice-skating events at Fenway Park will start on Dec. 28 and run through Jan. 13. Citi Frozen Fenway will feature college hockey doubleheaders on January 4 and 11, with the Friars kicking the event off on Jan. 4.
• Merrimack College Warriors vs. Providence College Friars (4:00 p.m.)
• Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Boston College Eagles (7:30 p.m.)
Tickets for the college doubleheaders will be available at redsox.com/frozenfenway or by calling (877) RED-SOX9. Patrons who require accessible seating may call (877) RED-SOX9. The Red Sox' TTY number for hearing-impaired fans is (617) 226-6644. Tickets start as low as $5 and will be valid for both games of the doubleheader.
Alumni, students and supporters from participating schools can take advantage of a special pre-sale opportunity beginning today, and can purchase tickets at redsox.com/frozenfenway.
The Friars are set to open the 2013-14 season in newly renovated Schneider Arena on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m. against Minnesota State.
