    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College Hockey Coach Tim Army announced on Friday, June 11 that student-athlete Steven Shamanski (Carberry, Manitoba) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend PC beginning in September 2010.

    Shamanski is a 6-foot, 185-pound defenseman, who played for the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). In 62 games this past season as team captain, Shamanski totalled 71 points on 19 goals and 52 assists. For his efforts, he was named MJHL Player of the Year, Top Defenseman and First Team All-Star.

    Shamanski joins defensemen Mark Adams (Boxford, Mass.) and Kevin Hart (Cumberland, Maine) as well as forwards Derek Army (North Kingstown, R.I.), Damian Cross (Nepean, Ont.) and Jamie Ferullo (Rochester, N.H.) to makeup the class of 2014.
