Suderman Among Letter of Intent Signees

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College hockey coach Paul Pooley today announced that student-athlete Marc Suderman of Regina, Saskatchewan has signed a national letter of intent to attend Providence College beginning in September 1998. With the addition of Suderman, Providence College hockey has three new players slated for next season's squad.

Suderman, a 6-foot, 175-pound forward, spent the last two seasons playing for the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League. Suderman finished the 1997-98 season with 23 goals and 33 assists in 56 games.

Suderman, a 1996 graduate of the Campbell Collegiate High School, is the son of Peter and Donna Suderman.

"Suderman had an excellent season in junior hockey and we are excited that he will be attending Providence College," Pooley said. "I believe Marc can contribute to the team and its efforts to be one of the top collegiate programs in the country."
