Men's Hockey to Play UNH in Semifinals on Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's hockey team will play the University of New Hampshire in the HOCKEY EAST Semifinals at the FleetCenter in Boston on Friday, March 19 at 5:00 p.m. The winner of the PC-UNH game will play the winner of the BC-Maine game in the HOCKEY EAST Finals on Saturday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m.

The Friars (20-16-1) earned a trip to the league's Semifinals by winning the best-of-three Quarterfinal series against Boston University. The Friars will be making their first trip to the league's final four since they won the HOCKEY EAST title in 1996 with a 3-2 win against Maine.

PC will play the league's regular-season champion New Hampshire (28-5-3 overall, 18-3-3 HOCKEY EAST). PC posted a 1-2 mark against the Wildcats this season. UNH is ranked No. 2 in the nation.

Tickets for the HOCKEY EAST Semifinals can be purchased Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the PC Ticket Office in Alumni Hall or by calling (401) 865-GOPC. Tickets are also available at the FleetCenter in Boston or by calling TicketMaster at (617) 931-2000.
