PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
The Hockey East Association has finalized the details of the upcoming Hockey East Quarterfinals series. After tying for third in the regular season and earning the fourth seed, the Friars will play host to fourth-ranked and fifth-seeded New Hampshire in a best-of-three series that begins at 7:00 p.m. at Schneider Arena on Friday, March 15.
Game two will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 and is slated to be televised live on the New England Sports Network (NESN). If necessary, game three will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.
The Friars (15-12-7, 13-8-6 HEA) finished in a three-way tie for third - their best showing since tying for second in 2001. Providence’s 13 Hockey East wins tie for the third-most in program history and the Friars will host a Hockey East Quarterfinal series for the first time in 10 years.
Tickets for games one and two will go on sale by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11 in person at the Providence College ticket office (Alumni Hall), at Friars.com/tickets or by calling the ticket office at 401-865-GOPC (4672).
All tickets will be $15. Student tickets will be handled in the same manner as the regular season and will be available to Providence College students on a first-come, first served basis beginning one hour prior to game time. To inquire about group rates, please call Erin Dunn at 401-865-1983.
