PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's ice hockey team hosted its third annual outdoor youth clinic at the Providence Rink at the Bank of America City Center in downtown Providence on Sunday, Jan. 12. Head Coach Nate Leaman and the team instructed over 50 participants.
The two-hour outdoor clinic had participants ranging from five to 12-years old. The five-to-seven year old participants were on the ice for the first hour, while the eight-to-12-year old participants skated for the second hour.
Dunkin' Donuts sponsored the event and donated breakfast for the children, parents and players. All of the participants received a gift bag which included a free ticket to the upcoming men's hockey game against Connecticut on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
The seventh-ranked Friars are back in action this weekend when they play a two-game series at Colorado College, beginning at 9:37 p.m. (EST) on Friday, Jan. 17. It will be Providence's first trip to Colorado College since 2000.
