Men's Hockey Announces the Signing of Alex Beaudry

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College hockey coach Tim Army announced on Friday, January 9 that student-athlete Alex Beaudry (Cumberland, Ontario) has committed to attend Providence College beginning in January 2009. Beaudry will be eligible to play on January 10 when the Friars host UMass Lowell at 7:00 p.m.

Beaudry is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound goaltender who played for the Kemptville 73's and the Gloucester Rangers of the Central Junior Hockey League this season. In 29 games total games, Beaudry recorded a 3.54 goals against average, a .907 save percentage and two shutouts.

The Friars will begin the second half of the season on Friday, January 10 when they host UMass Lowell at 7:00 p.m. at Schneider Arena.
