He is the first Friar to earn All-America honors since Stephen Wood was named to the Second Team in 2003-04 and the third Friar goalie to be named an All-American, joining Chris Terreri (First Team 1985 & Second Team in 1986) and Nolan Schaefer (Second Team in 2001) ... Gillies went 17-12-6 on the year and posted a Friar record five shutouts ... His five shutouts tied for the third-most in the country ...
